A titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic. Over 3 to 6 months, the bone fuses with the implant. A custom porcelain crown is then attached, matching your natural teeth in colour and shape.
Typically 3 to 4 appointments over 3 to 6 months: consultation and scan, implant placement, healing check, and crown fitting. Immediate-load implants may reduce this.
Implants require the same care as natural teeth — brushing, flossing and regular check-ups. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.
